Mission, Vision & Goals - Mojave Water Agency

AWAC is the Alliance for Water Awareness and Conservation.  We are a collaborative group of over twenty resource agencies committed to acheiving water conservation goals within the MWA 4,900 square mile service area.

The Mission of AWAC is:  To promote the efficient use of water and increase awareness of conservation as an important tool to ensure an adequate water supply.

Our Vision Statement reads:  To be a collaborative alliance providing leadership, education, resources, support, ideas and solutions to agencies region-wide to conserve and protect our water supplies.

Our Goals were updated in 2011 and are:
o        Serve as a network to assist agencies in educating the public on water conservation.
o        Provide resources with a consistent message to help agencies meet their respective conservation goals.
o        Maintain current gpcd or lower and continue to position agencies for meeting future conservation needs.
o        Exchange ideas between agencies, especially at quarterly meetings.
