A Voice in Water Management
Public support and participation is a key effort to securing a balanced, secure water supply for the High Desert. To that end,
Mojave Water Agency formed the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), an organization made up of water purveyors, farmers, property
owners and other stakeholder groups in the High Desert. The Committee has assisted the MWA with the update of the Regional Water
Management Plan (RWMP), a document designed to identify future water sources that will help accommodate significant population
growth projected in the High Desert.
TAC meetings are open forums at which issues affecting local water supplies are discussed. The MWA Board of Directors actively
solicits input from the TAC before making decisions on regional water issues. Meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of
the even number months at 10:00 a.m. at Mojave Water Agency, but call for confirmation. (760) 946-7000.
